The future of Geoffrey Wasswa at Vipers SC remains uncertain. The versatile defender’s contract with the venoms has only until the end of the season to expire. And now that the coronavirus pandemic has halted all sporting activities, who knows if he could be gone before even the end of the season?
According to the new vision’s Shafik Ssenoga, Geoffrey Wasswa is willing to stay at the St. Mary’s Stadium for another season if only the Club could approach him.
The defender who has also featured in central midfield for the Venoms is uncertain of whether The Kitende based Club is willing to renew his contract. He is concerned the Club has not yet approached him for anything to do with renewing the terms of stay.

Vipers’ biggest transfer flops: where are they?
It is reported that Vipers is willing to table an improved 3-year contract for the Wasswa, immediately when the lockdown is lifted.
Wasswa has been linked with a move to Lugogo based side KCCA but the Club maintains there have not been any negotiations between the club and the player, yet.
Wasswa will be more important for Vipers especially now that they are nearing the climax of the Startimes Uganda Premier League. They will need a serene squad if they are to complete the season with silverware.
Geoffrey Wasswa graduated from St Mary’s Kitende and made his league debut against BUL FC in September 2016.
The chances of an extension remain high but the possibility of a fall-out remains high too. Could we see a Venom in yellow and blue next season?
