Peter Tabu: Communications manager leaves Express after two successful years

Renowned sports journalist Peter Tabu has left his role at StarTimes Uganda Premier League side Express FC.

This was confirmed by the former Communication manager on his official social media handles on Monday evening.

“It is with a heavy heart that I wish to announce I’m stepping down from my role as Express Football Club’s Communication manager after two successful seasons” Read part of the statement released by Tabu on his social media handles

“This difficult decision has been arrived at mutually with the club’s management and influenced by the need for me to take on other opportunities necessary for my career growth”

“I look back at my time at the club with nothing but pride”

Tabu joined the Red Eagles in August 2020 and in his first year as communications manager, Express won both the StarTimes Uganda Premier League and CECAFA Kagame Cup in Tanzania.

The second year for Tabu at the club wasn’t as expected as the Wakulukuku based side finished sixth on the UPL log with 46 points.
