Nicholas Wadada: Cranes star voted Vodacom Premier League’s best defender

Uganda Cranes International Nicholas Wadada has been voted as the best defender in the recently concluded 2019-20 Vodacom Premier League.

The right-back beat off competition from Bakari Mwamnyeto (Coastal Union FC) and Kagera Sugar’s David Luhende to win the accolade.

However, the Uganda Cranes right-back lost the best player of the season award to Zambia and Simba SC star Clautos Chama.

Last season, Wadada was the second best assists king in the Vodacom Premier League with 8 assists and found the back of the net once.

He also helped his side Azam FC finish third on 20-team log with 70 points garnered in 38 games.
