Uganda Premier League side, National Enterprise Corporation Football Club (NEC FC) entered into a patnership with Lubaga based Women Football Club, Uganda Martrys.
The partnership includes NEC agreeing to take on Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC as its women’s football team in all FUFA, CAF, and FIFA engagements as confirmed in a Press Conference held at the NEC offices in Bugolobi.
Speaking to the Uganda Matryrs LWFC CEO Freda Ayerango after the unveiling, she came out to express her glad:
“We are so grateful and very eager to work with them (NEC FC)” she expressed
“NEC is a very big brand, a reputable Club and a successful one as well so we can’t wait to work with them and so hopefull this patnership will yield a lot of fruits” Freda added
In addition to the above, NEC FC announced a two-year partnership with Ebenezer Soccer Academy to provide them with young U17 players to play in the FUFA Junior team.
Chairman Eng. Brian Buhanda said the announcement highlights NEC FC’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of football stars.
“This is the next generation and is expected to get into the senior team after we have natured ” Chairman stated
“These are patnerships that we wouldn’t do in hiding. However we have our people who have made us who we are, those that people only see on the banners, I would like to thank muhick, this is your second year and Uzima because you have refreshed us” he added
NEC’s season will kickoff on Sunday 15th September 2024 at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo, Kampala against Vipers Sports Club.
