On a rainy Monday morning, Uganda Martyrs Women Football Club unveiled their squad ahead of the 2024/25 Finance Trust Women Super League campaign due to start on Friday 27th September 2024.
The ceremony was held at Uganda Martyrs High School premises, among the players unveiled is Nulu Nakyanzi who was brought into the Lubaga side as a direct replacement to Sumaiyah Nalumu who left to join Kampala Queens.
Nakyanzi also a former player for Asubo Ladies Football Club returned to the country from Democratic Republic of Congo’s FCF Amani where she won a title in the 2022/23 title of kinshasa province alongside Gloria Namugerwa and Sheebah Zalwango.
Therefore she is expected to bring experience to the young players and add a bit of everything that will include goals as a whole package.
“I came back because I was seeing some missing things in the team” Nakyanzi clarified
“As a school i studied and a team I played for in 2016, i saw a lot that I could rectify hand in hand with my season target of scoring goals to help my team win titles” she concluded
The Clubs head coach Edward Kasozi Ssozi hailed Nakyanzi as a very talented player;
“We wanted to sign Nulu so bad and luckily enough we got her, she’s very talented just as creative and I believe she will take us to our goals”
