Mukwala, Komakech in as Mckinstry names CECAFA provisional squad

The Uganda National team head coach Jonathan Mckinstry has summoned 30 local based players ahead of the CECAFA senior challenge Cup scheduled to take place from 8th-19th December 2019 at yet unconfirmed venues.

Teenager Jack Komakech makes a surprise inclusion in the team after also taking part in the 2019 under 17 AFCON tournament in Tanzania.

Maroons FC talisman Steven Mukwala also makes the squad for the first time having notched in 10 goals in 15 league games so far.

The hosts Uganda, are drawn in group A alongside Burundi, Ethiopia, and Eritrea.

Uganda is the record winner of the CECAFA senior challenge Cup with 14 championships at bay.
