Mukwala drafted into the CECAFA senior Challenge cup final squad

StarTimes Uganda Premier League top scorer Steven Mukwala has been reinstated back into the CECAFA senior Challenge cup squad list to replacing Proline striker Idrissa Lubega Torres who is out injured.

The Maroons FC forward was released on Saturday together with young goalkeeper Jack Komaketch, Hassan Senyonjo, and Ivan Serubiri as the Cranes Technical team looked at trimming the squad to the final listing for the Senior Challenge Cup.

Uganda will play its opening games against Burundi at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole at 2 pm.

Mukwala is the running top scorer of the Startimes Uganda Premier League having scored 10 goals for Maroons FC, a goal higher than his immediate counterparts Fahad Bayo (Vipers) and Ben Ocen (Police).

Uganda Cranes will be looking for the 13th title on record to continue their dominance of the CECAFA men Senior Challenge cup.
