Masaza Cup: Defenders Buddu pitted in same group with Ssingo, Kyadondo

Buddu defeated Buwekula 2-0 in the 2021 Masaza Cup final which was played at St. Mary's Stadium, Kitende.

Airtel Masaza Cup defending champions Buddu has been pitted in group B alongside rivals Ssingo and Kyadondo in this year’s tournament.

This is after the draws for the 2022 tournament were held on Thursday morning in Mengo.

The other teams in group B are Buluuli, Mawogola and Buvuma.

Group A has Buwekula, Mawokota, Butambala, Gomba, Kabula and Kooki while Group C comprises of Bulemeezi, Kyaggwe, Busiro, Ssese, Bugerere and Busujju.

As always the norm, Buddu will open the tournament with one of group B teams on June 25 at Masaka Recreation ground.

Unlike in the last two seasons, this year’s tournament will be played on home and away basis as opposed to one leg.
