Kiboga Young wins 1st game, Katwe United humiliated – A quick look at the Big League


Richard Makumbi’s Kiboga Young picked up their first win of the Big League season as they edged past SUPL promotional aspirants Paidha Black Angels thanks to Olega, Luuka and Pascal sublime strikes on the day.

In Kampala, Doves All Stars put 4 goals past hosts, Katwe United. Ajobe Samary opened the scoring for Doves All Stars before Tebusweke Allan levelled the maters for the Kampala to take the game into halftime. Dove immediately reclaimed the lead in the second half with 2 goals in 10 minutes courtesy of Brain Chris and Kawawa Rashid strikes. 5 minutes from time, Edema Sabir sealed the score for Doves All Stars with a 85th sublime to strike.

In Mbarara, it was a 7 goals thriller as Kitara FC got away with 4-3 win at Nyamityobora FC. Braces from Kasoki Vicent and Mululi Brain gifted Kitara FC with 3 points. On the otherwise, Dan Wagaluka scored 2 penalties for Nyamityobora FC.

Saviours FC continued their unbeaten run to the season, collecting their third draw in as many games when they once again restricted Light SSS to 2-2 draw at Amuria High School Playground.

Kasai Plascon and Water FC played out to a barren draw, while army side UPDF FC scored two first half goals to edge New Villa.

Dove All Stars FC are table leaders of the Rwenzori group with 7 points in 4 games while Kataka FC have collected 7 points in 3 games to lead the Elgon Group.
