Uganda Cranes midfielder Khalid Aucho has been unveiled by Tanzanian Giants Young Africans (Yanga SC).
Aucho joins Yanga on a two-year employment contract after leaving Egyptian side Misr El Makkasa last week as a free agent.
The midfielder has previously played for Jinja Municipal Council (JMC) FC, and Water F.C in Uganda before leaving Kenya to Tusker F.C and Gor Mahia. He left Gor Mahia for South Africa’s Premier League side Baroka F.C.
In February 2017, in the last days of the winter transfer period, Aucho went to Red Star Belgrade following a recommendation by the Uganda national team coach Milutin Sredojević. Red Star immediately sent him to OFK Beograd on loan until the end of the season.
From Serbia, he went to India to join Churchill Brothers before joining El Makkasa in July 2019.
With the Uganda Cranes, Aucho is capped 45 times since he made his debut against Rwanda in a 1–0 victory at the 2013 CECAFA Cup.
