I sold the club six months ago- Former Arua Hill owner, Joel Aita

Uganda Premier League side, Arua Hill Sports Club suffered a 7-1 thrashing away from home to Kitara FC in Masindi on Thursday evening.

With a lot of reports that known owner and City Engineer Dr Joel J. Aita had left the club without individuals at the Club knowing.

In a short and precise text on his X platform handle, Aita came out to clarify saying that “I sold the club six months ago”

In addition to the above statement, Aita also added that he sold Arua Hill because it wasn’t making any profit. For the stadium, he concluded saying it’s still under construction.

Arua Hill SC previously branded as Doves All Stars FC got promoted to the 2022 top flight after topping their Elgon Group of the 2021 FUFA Big League.

Formerly owned by Aziz Damani, the club reached its goal of promotion to the top flight division on its sixth attempt after Joel Aita bought 100 percent shares in Doves to become the Arua side’s new owner in 2020.

At the moment Arua Hill are bottom of the Uganda Premier League with five points in 13 games.
