Goalkeeper Richard Anyama is set to join UPDF


Arua Hill goalkeeper, Richard Anyama is set to join Star Times uganda premier league side, UPDF from Arua Hills.

The Bombo based side is likely to out compete KCCA fc and Big league side, Police fc who are also interested in his signature.

He is expected to improve the army side’s goalkeeping department which of now has Jimmy Okidi, Yusuf Waswa and Simon Mabuya.

The South Sudanese joined the Arua based club in 2020 helping it gain promotion to the star Times Uganda premier league and his contract was to end in June 2024.

As a Kongolo, Anyama was voted the 2020/21 goalkeeper of the season as his team was being promoted to the Star Times Uganda Premier League where he also became the 2022/22 goalkeeper of the season upon securing 11 clean sheets.

Anyama has also played for Onduparaka, The Saints and Wakiso Giants.

Anyama joins captain, Gadaffi Wahab on the list of players that are exiting the struggling club in January transfers.

The army owned side currently sits in the relegation zone, 15th with only 9 points in 15 games.
