In a thrilling encounter at Nakisunga Saza grounds, Mbale Heroes Football Club, fondly known as the Surgeons, secured a remarkable 2-0 away triumph against Kyetume Football Club.

The match saw Nsamba Fahad’s strike in the 45th minute providing the visitors with an early lead. Following the goal, Mbale Heroes persistently pressed for further dominance, while the hosts struggled to mount a substantial response.

The Surgeons further solidified their lead in the 85th minute when Akiram Muzanyi struck, doubling their advantage and sealing a resounding victory away from home.

The defensive prowess exhibited by Mbale Heroes ensured a clean sheet, significantly contributing to their commanding win.

This triumph propelled Mbale Heroes into the coveted third position in the league standings, firmly in contention for promotion with 27 points. Booma Football Club, previously holding the third spot, slipped to fourth after succumbing to a defeat against Kataka Football Club, remaining at 24 points.

Kataka FC’s triumph propelled them to sixth place, displacing Blacks Power, who were out of action during this matchday.

On this matchday, Kiyinda Boys Football Club clinched a victory at their home ground, the Betharm City Recreation Center, while Kigezi HomeBoyz FC secured a crucial win at Kabale Municipal Stadium.

Following this significant win, the Homeboyz surged from the twelfth position and out of the relegation zone, ascending to an impressive 8th position in the league standings.

However, the remaining three fixtures of the day concluded in goalless draws, showcasing the closely contested matches within the league.

As matchday fifteen drew to a close, Kyetume FC, Jinja North United FC, Ndejje University FC, and the bottom-placed Young Elephants Football Club found themselves entrenched in the relegation zone.
