Former Soroti Municipality Municipality and NRM politician, Herbert Ariko has donated football balls to GK Sport Academy to support the sports education and nurturing of talent in the youth system.

GK Sport Academy, a Youth football development system, owned and managed by former Uganda Cranes and KCCA FC, Police FC, and Sports Club Villa striker, Gibby Kalule was handed 20 football balls to help bolster the Buwate based Academy’s programs.

In a statement released by the Academy, the management could not hold back its gratitude for this gesture from the former FDC die hard.

“We would like to express our deepest gratitude for your unselfish contribution to GK Sport Academy.”

“Your Donation is very important to us and it helps the continuity of our commitment to serving our kids with efficiency. We are now able to have a ball for each child during our training sessions. This would not have been successful without your act of generosity.”

Ariko who is a parent at the Academy handed the balls to the Academy manager Umar Mukiibi and this is a gesture that clearly amplifies the recent Government initiative toward supporting and developing sports activities in the country.

Gibby Kalule believes that noble acts like the donation of the balls remain critical in fostering success at the different levels, just like the Academies.

“We always believe that success at the Academy can only be possible when we are working hand in hand with dedicated parents. This Card serves to confirm receipt of the donation of 20 soccer balls to GK sport.”

“We are so blessed to have you at the Academy not just as a parent but also as a passionate fan to all activities at GK Sport Academy and your presence at our training sessions is always appreciated”
