Allen Nassaazi scored the only goal as Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC collected maximum points against UCU Lady Cardinals in their second round opener on Saturday at Kawempe Muslim Playground, Kawempe.

This was the perfect revenge for Kawempe Muslim against UCU Lady Cardinals who won a game last season at the same ground courtesy of a Jackie Nakasi late goal.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies had the best of games this season but were not clinical to make the goal margin big enough with chances that fell to Hadija Nandago, Shakira Nyinagahirwa and the goal scorer in the opening half just like Bridget Nabisaalu for UCU.

The second half was the difference as Kawempe maintained their focus only to get an opener in the 49th minute, Allen beat helpless Nalongo in the posts as she placed the ball at the far post.

In the other Saturday game, Sheila Gallenda’s first half goal after eight minutes was the difference as Olila edged Masindi side Lady Doves in their own backyard.

On Sunday, She Corporate conquered the Makerere derby as they hammered Makerere Women Football Club 3-0 courtesy a brace from Joanita Ainembabazi in the 7th and 50th minute with Noeline Namiiro sealing it in the with just 15 minutes left on the clock.

However the hightlight of the game was the return of Ronah Regina Nantege who returned from a bad ankle she suffered in their last game last season against Kampala Queens.

Asubo Gafford Ladies too didn’t have enough man power to stop so far unbeaten Kampala Queens as the Kabojja side came and thrashed them 1-3 at home.

Kampala Queens’ goals were netted by Elizabeth Nakigozi at the stroke of the first half, leveling matters after Gafford had gone ahead earlier in the game.

There after it was an easy job as Margaret Kunihira scored the second four minutes into the second half, and Sophi Nakiyingi sealing the victory with three minutes to end the game.

Rines SS closed the weekend as they put up a surprise result when they edged Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga 1-0 with help of a Eva Nagaayi Penalty in the 63rd minute to make it three wins in ten games so far.
