A total of 47 goals were scored on the opening day of the 2022 Futsal Super League.
These goals were scored across 10 games played at Old Kampala Arena on Sunday 15th May 2022.
With each team playing two games on the opening day, KJT scored the most goals over their two opponents. They drew 2-2 with Luzira FC in the first game of the day before they Obliterated ASKA FC 10-0 in the last game of the day.
Kisenyi FC, Aidenal SOSA, Luzira FC and Talent Bridge came closest as they each scored seven goals across their opening two games.
Having lost their opener 2-0 to defending champions Park FC, Kisenyi FC thrashed Kabowa Dream 7-0 in their second.
Aidenal opened their campaign with a 7-0 victory over ASKA FC before playing out to a goalless stalemate with Park.
While Talent Bridge defeated Kabowa 5-2 in their opener but lost 5-2 to Luzira FC.
Park and ASKA scored the least number of goals on the opening day as they found the back of net twice and once respectively across two games.
Kabowa Dream striker Baker Nsubuga finishes day one as the league topscorer with four goals and he is closely followed by Kavuma Marvin ( Aidenal), Kalanzi Denis ( Aidenal) and Maawiya Abdallah ( KJT), who all have three goals to their names.
KJT lead the log standings with four points, tied with three other teams (Park FC, Luzira FC and Aidenal SOSA) but with a superior goal difference.
The league will resume next Saturday 21st, May 2022 with two games for each side.
Park FC are the defending champions of this league, having beaten Big Talent in last season’s final.
