The dates of the 2022 CECAFA Women Championship games that are set to take place at the Njeru Technical Centre have been rescheduled.
The tournament that was expected to take place between 22nd May and 5th June 2022 has been pushed on and is now set to start on 1st June and end on 11 June 2022.
This decision has been taken because of the current ongoing women Leagues and different players abroad who may not be allowed to leave their clubs since CECAFA is not usually recognized on the FIFA Calendar.
CECAFA tournaments have been known to be with a lot of confusion in the preparations of their previous editions and this one is no different.
The tournament like earlier communicated will consist of eight participants Rwanda, Djibouti, Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Zanzibar and other two (Burundi and hosts Uganda) who are using the tournament as preparation of the upcoming AFWCON tournament in Morocco.
All the games of the tournament are set to be broadcasted live on FUFA TV.
