ForteBet Real Star Monthly Awards: Kiplimo scoops Award as Fadila clinches second in a row


Real Stars Sports Monthly Awards  together with ForteBET and Jude Colour solutions have awarded six Athletes from six sports disciplines for their outstanding February performance.

In an ceremony took place at the Jude Color Solutions Showroom located at Prime Complex along, JohnStone Street in Kampala on Tuesday Morning.

The awards were tipped off with Jacob Kiplimo who won the World Cross Country Championship in Bathurst, Australia and therefore with no doubt was rewarded the ForteBet RealStars Award for the month of February in the Athletics Category to beat both Joshua Cheptegei and Doreen Chesang.

In basketball, Gallezes small forward Jannon Otto conquered the best of February in Basketball to beat both Brenda Ekone and good rebounder Maria Najjuma just like Kobs Rugby Club Player Pius Ogena who was Man of the Match on the Buffaloes game managed to clinch the Award of being the best in the Rugby Category.

In Badminton, Fadilah Shamika took home February’s best after she won two bronze medals in both the Singles and Doubles(where she played with Tracy Naluwooza) at the Uganda Junior International 2023 in Lugogo.

Fadilah became the second athlete to win back to back ForteBet Real Star Awards after winning in the month of January where she became the first Ugandan to win gold at the All-African Senior Championship. This puts her in the same category with Brenda Ekone who did the same in the Basketball category last year.

In the rally pairs category, the Duo of Yassin Nasser and Ali Katumba won the February accolade of the Rally pair after winning the first round of the 2023 National Rally Championship in Mbarara after being included in the awards after a long period of time.

Lastly for Football, Uganda Hippos and UPDF Rogers Mugisha winger scooped the award over Patrick Katumba of Royal Giant and Derrick Ochan of KCCA.

Each winner walked away with an accolade and brown envelope.
