NEC FC goalkeeper Hannigton Ssebwalunyo emerged as the biggest winner at the April edition of the Fortebet Real Stars Sports Monthly Awards held on Tuesday, May 5, at Nanjing Restaurant in Kampala.
The experienced shot-stopper enjoyed a remarkable month, registering five clean sheets and scoring two goals — a rare feat for a goalkeeper. His outstanding performances earned him his first-ever Real Stars accolade ahead of Maroons FC’s Ivan Mayanja and SC Villa forward Frank Ssebuufu.
In basketball, Rezlife Stars’ Edreene Ekau claimed the top honour after averaging 20 points per game, beating City Oilers’ Faheed Baale and KCCA Leopards’ Tracy Namugose.
Pirates Rugby Club’s Alex Aturinda walked away with the rugby award, edging Thunderbirds’ Proscovia Mukyala and Buffaloes’ Daniels Otim.
