Uganda Cranes midfielder Allan Okello, rally driver Hassan Alwi, boxer Ukasha Matovu and rugby star Yasin Wasswa emerged as the biggest winners at the latest ForteBet Real Stars Monthly Awards after outstanding performances during June.

Okello scooped the football accolade following a sensational month with Young Africans S.C.. The attacking midfielder played a key role as the Tanzanian giants secured a fifth consecutive Tanzania NBC Premier League title.

The Uganda Cranes star finished the month with an impressive return of 14 goals and eight assists in six matches. Among his standout performances were a hat-trick against Tanzania Revenue Authority FC and an assist against JKT as he helped Yanga complete another successful title-winning campaign.

In motorsport, Hassan Alwi claimed the rally award after winning the KCB-SMC Masaka Rally in Sembabule. The International University of East Africa and DFCU-backed driver posted a winning time of 1:10:22.97 to finish ahead of Jonas Kansime and Duncan Mubiru.

The triumph further strengthened Alwi’s lead at the top of the National Rally Championship standings after also winning the season-opening round in Mbale.

In boxing, Ukasha Matovu, popularly known as “Morocco Ukashalee”, was recognised after a spectacular return to the Uganda Boxing Champions League. Making his comeback after 542 days out of action, Matovu stopped Katabi Boxing Club’s Isaac Kasasa in seven minutes and 29 seconds during Week Five of Season Five, producing one of the month’s most memorable performances.

Toyota Buffaloes fly-half Yasin Wasswa took home the rugby award following his match-winning display in the Uganda Rugby Premiership final against Pirates. Wasswa contributed 19 points through conversions and penalty kicks as Buffaloes edged Pirates 30-29, a performance that also earned him the Most Valuable Player award.
