On a bright Saturday morning at MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, Kampala Queens once again stamped their authority on the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League, securing a 2-0 victory over She Corporate FC.
The win not only extended their unbeaten streak but also strengthened their position at the top of the table, widening the gap to nine points.
The match began with both teams displaying caution, each side probing but unwilling to take too many risks early on.
She Corporate, determined to frustrate the league leaders, held a compact defensive shape, limiting Kampala Queens’ attacking options.
Despite enjoying the lion’s share of possession, the hosts struggled to break through in the opening 45 minutes, with clear-cut chances at a premium.
After the halftime break, Kampala Queens returned with renewed intensity, pressing higher up the pitch and forcing errors from the She Corporate defense.
Their persistence paid off a minute past the hour when Shamirah Nalugya pounced on a defensive mistake by Aminah Nakato.

The stadium erupted as Kampala Queens finally had their breakthrough.
With momentum firmly in their favor, the hosts continued to push forward.
In the 75th minute, they doubled their lead through Jamirah Nabulime. A well-delivered corner kick by Nalugya found Nabulime unmarked in the box, and she expertly guided her header into the net, sealing a comfortable 2-0 victory.

With this latest triumph, Kampala Queens now sit nine points clear at the top, ahead of Amus and Kawempe, who each have a game in hand.
For Shamirah Nalugya, the match was yet another milestone. Her goal took her season tally to six goals and four assists, making her the first Kampala Queens player to reach double figures in goal contributions this season. She continues to shine as the club’s top scorer.
In their next games, Kampala Queens will visit Wakiso Hill on March 22, 2025 while She Corporate will host Uganda Martyrs on March 23, 2025.
