FIFA U-20 WWCQ: Brighton defender set to be part of Queen Cranes squad

Uganda and Brighton and Hove Albion FC Women U21 defender Bethany Kaluya is expected to be part of the Uganda U20 team.

The former Crystal Palace forward, Kaluya was welcomed to camp by Head Coach Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi will not travel to Senegal with the Queen Cranes but will be available for the return leg next week at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

Uganda will face Senegal in Dakar on 10th November 2023 for the first leg before the two teams face off a week later at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

In the first preliminary round, the Queen Cranes eliminated Mozambique 8-0 on aggregate to advance to this stage.

The aggregate winner on this round will progress to the next stage that will determine the four teams that will represent Africa at next year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
