FBL: Katwe targets relegation survival, MYDA hosts Bukedea


Katwe United will target a good start to their relegation survival when the Startimes FUFA Big league second round commences on Thursday evening with two games on the menu.

Katwe United, who sit bottom of the Elgon group will host fellow relegation aspirants Kataka FC at the StarTimes Stadium, Lugogo.

Having managed only 1 win in first round, the Kampala based side will hope to turn fortunes around in second round or else they are on a verge of relegation back to the Kampala regional league.

They will hope new signings, Tonny Odur and Habib Kavuma can bolster their attack and defence having scored  6 and conceded 13 goals in 8 games.

Mbale based side Kataka FC, meanwhile sit 7th on the log with 10 points in 8 games.

Elsewhere, Surprise log leaders MYDA FC will host third placed Bukedea Town Council FC at the Elgon View playground.

MYDA finished first round as Elgon group leaders on 16 points while Bukedea are 3rd on 12 points.

Norman Ojik and Yunus Kasozu are expected to make their league debuts for MYDA.The pair joined the club from Doves FC in the transfer window.
