It’s nothing short of a must-win clash for Vipers Sports Club as they pay a visit to the Muteesa II Stadium-Wankulukuku where they will face Express FC on Tuesday 8th February 2021, a game who result determines the standings on the league table.
The Venoms, who smashed MYDA FC 7-0 on Saturday sit in third place on that table with 10 points and a win against the Red Eagles on Tuesday evening would send them top of the 16-team log with 13 points, transcending current leaders UPDF FC by a point.
For Vipers to collect maximum points on Tuesday evening, they will need January capture, Yunus Sentamu, to once again be an inspiration like he was against MYDA FC on Saturday. Sentamu, who played only an hour on his league debut notched a brace in less than half an hour against the struggling new entrants.
Express FC, on the other hand, are still one of the five teams that haven’t tasted defeat this season, winning two and drawing the other two of their opening four games. They sit seventh on the log with 8 points and any win against the defending champions might propel them to second place.
