After an intensely fought first round, record champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC lead the standings with 28 points from 11 matches. The Valley Warriors, who registered nine victories in the opening stanza, hold a slender two-point advantage over second-placed She Corporate FC on 26 points. Saturday’s headline fixture sees Kawempe travel to Muteesa II Stadium to face St Noa Girls FC, a resilient side sitting on 13 points and eager to upset the leaders. In Luzira, She Maroons FC host Amus College WFC, with both sides level on 15 points and targeting a push into the top four.
On Sunday, Kampala Queens will look to cut the gap at the summit when they host Rines SS WFC, while She Corporate wrap up the weekend away to Asubo Ladies FC, who are battling to climb out of the relegation zone.
The Golden Boot race adds further intrigue. Catherine Nagadya of Kampala Queens leads the scoring charts with nine goals, just ahead of She Corporate’s Jesca Namanda on eight.
With only a handful of points separating the top contenders and survival battles intensifying at the bottom, the second round promises drama, tension and defining moments in Uganda’s top-flight women’s league.
