traWasswa Bbosa joined Express FC prior to the end of the 2019/2020 season replacing the sacked George Ssimwogerere. He was to help the club avoid relegation with the 10 games remaining and indeed, finished ninth on 31 points from 25 games of a season which was ended prematurely.
As the 2020/2021 season is expected to kick off in October, the management and Bbosa’s technical team at Express has already started restructuring the club as one of the means to see them relive the old glory days. The club recently had changes that saw a new C.E.O Isaac Mwesigwa replace Hamzah Junjju who resigned in May.
As the ‘Omukwano gw’abangi‘ struggles to keep hold of their skipper Disan Galiwango whose future is yet to be decided with rumors of a move away from the club, they have already started cracking the whip on the squad, releasing 18 players as of yesterday.
In a bid to rebuild the team, the list of released players is topped by goalkeeper Tonny Kyamera, Martin Kiiza, and Baker Lukooya.
The Club is expected to try and get more players into their squad and it is most likely KCCA FC’s wantaway midfielder Sadam Ibrahim Juma could be brought in.
The other players expected to join the club soon include Ivan Eyam who has no contract at Mbarara City, Godfrey Lwesibawa, and Steven Luswata.
