Express FC: Bbosa’s prodigal luggage heavier with Kakooza return

Express FC head coach Wasswa Bbosa has added midfielder Mahad Yahaya Kakooza, another player he has worked with before, onto the list of new signings at the Wakulukuku based club.

The defensive midfielder joins Express FC on a two-year employment contract as a free agent after running out his contract at Tooro United.

Kakooza becomes the second player to follow Coach Bbosa wherever he has coached since his departure from Express FC in 2017. The other player is Godfrey Lwesibawa.

He also becomes the fourth player to have worked with Bbosa in any part of his career after Godfrey Lwesibawa (SC Villa and Tooro United) , Cryspus Kusima (Tooro United) and Abel Eturude (SC Villa).

Speaking at the unveiling, Kakooza could not hide his excitement after rejoining “the team he supports”.

“Firstly, I am a fan of this great club and my Dad too. When I got the opportunity, I couldn’t turn it down.”

“Am so glad and proud to be at a club where I am familiar with the environment,” Kakooza told the club website.

Kakooza becomes the eighth addition for Express FC in the ongoing transfers window after Cryspus Kusiima, Denis Otim, Richard Bbosa, Abel Eturude, Baker Sakah, Godfrey Lwesibawa, and Kiragga Mustafa who have joined the club in the last few weeks.
