Diaspora: Tracy Jones Akiror nets maiden goal as Ritah Kivumbi gets hattrick – how Ugandan professionals abroad fared over the weekend

This weekend saw two Crested Cranes lads get on the scoresheet for the respective side in the different leagues across the globe. Tracy Jones Akiror got his first for Ann Arbor in USA while Ritah Kivumbi had a hattrick for Mallbackens in Sweden.

This is how those two and many more Ugandan professionals abroad fared over the weekend.

Starting off in Sweden, Ritah Kivumbi played full-time and netted a hattrick for Mallbackens W as they humbled Team G FF 4-0 in the Swedish Elitetan.

Viola Nambi was absent as Vaxjo DFF as they defeated Alvsjo AIK 4-0.

In Swedish Division 2, Patrick Mulyanti netted a brace to help Kiruna defeat Storfors AIK 3-2.

Isaak Ssewakambo was absent as his side Sirius lost 4-3 to Hackens in Swedish Allsvenskan.

In Denmark, Vanessa Karungi started in goal and kept a clean sheet for B93W as they defeated Sundby W 3-0 in Danish Elitedivisonen WL.

Moses Opondo featured for 77 minutes for AS Horsen as they drew 1-all with Hdidovre in the Danish 1st Division.

In USA, Tracy Jones Akiror netted his first goal for AFC Ann Arbor as they drew 2-2 with Indy Eleven in USL Women league.

Steven Sserwadda featured full-time for New York Red Bulls II as they defeated Birmingham in USL championship.

Michael Azira was unused for New Mexico as they defeated Indy Eleven 2-1.

To MSL Next Pro, Aziz Kayondo featured full-time for Real Monarch as they lost 1-0 to Houston Dynamo FC II.

Still in USA, Ian Sendi started for FC Minneapolis and broke a shoulder as his side drew 2-2 with Minneapolis City.

In South Africa, Denis Onyango was unused for Mamelodi Sundowns as they lifted the Nedbank Cup after beating Marumo Gallants 2-1 in the final.

In Tanzania, Khalid Aucho featured for Yanga FC as they defeated Simba SC 1-0 in the Azam Sports Cup. Taddeo Lwanga also started for Simba.

In Kenya, William Wadri featured for Bandari FC as they drew goalless with Ulinzi Stars.

In Tunisia, Richard Kassaga featured for Olympique Beja as they drew nil-nil with Metlaoui to secure their survival in Tunisian Lique 1.

In Algeria, Allan Okello was absent as his side Paradou AC lost 1-0 to  USM Alger in Algerian Lique 1.
