Young Africans S.C. strengthened their hold at the top of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League with a commanding 3-0 win over Coastal Union F.C., but the spotlight once again belonged to Ugandan midfielder Allan Okello, who delivered a standout performance with two goals and an assist.

Since joining Yanga in January, Okello has been in exceptional form, now registering 5 goals and 6 assists in 19 appearances, underlining his growing influence as one of the club’s most decisive attacking players this season.

Yanga dominated possession from the start, and their early pressure was rewarded in the 18th minute. Prince Dube played a clever pass into the box, finding Okello, who calmly finished to open the scoring.

The goal gave Yanga full control of the match, with Coastal Union struggling to cope with their movement and intensity.

After the break, Coastal Union attempted to respond but were repeatedly denied by Yanga’s compact defensive structure and midfield control.

In the 62nd minute, Okello struck again, finishing off a well-weighted assist from Pacome Zouzoua to double Yanga’s advantage and further assert his dominance on the game.

Okello then turned creator in the 75th minute, setting up Maxi Nzengeli with a precise assist to complete the 3-0 victory.

The win moves Yanga to 54 points from 22 matches, maintaining their position at the top of the table. Rivals Simba S.C. sit second with 46 points from 21 games, leaving an eight-point gap in the title race.
