Last weekend saw Uganda U-20 Women’s youngster Juliet Nalukenge net her first performance hat-trick at her new side in Cyrus, while former KCCA FC and Vipers midfielder, Keziron Kizito was on target for the first time in Zambia. This is how Uganda’s players abroad fared over the weekend in our diaspora review.

Starting off in England, striker Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru came on in the 89th minute for Andraz Sporar as Middlesbrough drew goalless with Stoke in the English Championship.

In the English League One, Jordan Obita featured full-time as Wycombe Wanderers drew 2-all with AFC Wimbledon. Jayden Onen was absent for Sheffield Wednesday as they drew goalless with Portsmouth.

In Scotland, defender Bevis Mugabi featured full-time for Motherwell as they lost 1-0 to Celtics in the Scottish Premiership.

In Denmark, Moses Opondo came on in the 94th minute for Bashkim Kadri as Odense Boldkub lost 2-1 to Randers in the Danish Cup Quarterfinals.

In Israeli, Both Fahad Bayo and Timothy Awanyi featured full-time for Ashdod SC as they lost 2-0 to Hapoel Kiryat Shmona in the Israeli Premier League. Kizito Luwagga came on in the 64th minute for Stav Nachmani as his side, Hapoel Nof Hagalil lost 2-0 to Hapoel Beer Sheva.

In Cyprus, Uganda Women U-20 star Juliet Nalukenge netted her first professional hat-trick as her side, Amok Chrysomolia secured a 3-2 victory over Geroskipou in the Cyrus Women First Division. The U-20 youngster was on target in the 45th, 69th and 77th minutes.

In South Africa, Goalkeeper Denis Onyango returned from suspension and kept a clean sheet for Mamelodi Sundowns as they defeated Supersport United 1-0 in the DSTV Premiership. Moses Waiswa Ndondi on the other end featured full-time for Supersports. Ismail Watenga was in goal for Chippa United as they drew 1-all with AmaZulu.

In Tanzania, Khalid Aucho featured for Young Africans as they drew goalless with Taddeo Lwanga’s Simba FC in NBC Premiership. Taddeo was out with an injury.

In Zambia, Keziron Kizito netted his first goal for Buildcon FC as they secured a 3-2 victory over Green Buffaloes in the Zambia Premier League. Still in the Zambia MTN Premier League, Hashim Ssempala featured for Kabwe Warriors as they secured a 2-0 victory over Kafue Celtics.

In Germany, Herbert Bockhorn came on in the 67th minute for VFL Bochum as they drew 1-all with Borrusia Dortmund in the Germany Bundesliga.

In Congo, Joseph Ochaya’s TP Mazembe defeated Allan Kateregga’s Eloi Lupopo 2-1 in the Vodafone Congolese Linafoot. Both Ochaya and Kateregga never featured in the fixture though.

In Swaziland, Bashir Mutanda featured for Mbabane Swallows as they defeated Miling Hotspurs 1-0 in the Swazi MTN Premier League.

In Ethiopia, Charles Lukwago started in goal for St. George and kept a clean sheet as they drew goalless with Adama City in the Betking Ethiopian Premier League.

In Kenya, Bashir Sekagya featured full-time for Wazito FC as they drew 1-all with Police FC in the Kenyan Premier League.

In Rwanda, Nicholas Sebwato and Robert Mukongotya featured for Mukura Sports as they defeated Espoir 1-0 in the Rwanda Primus League.
