Diaspora: How Ugandan professionals fared over the weekend


It’s another weekend of promising performances by Uganda professionals in their different leagues across the globe. As always, we bring your an insight on how they fared.

In Denmark, Moses Opondo grabbed an assist as his Odense lost 2-1 against Randers in Sweden’s Superliga Europa league playoffs.

Midfielder Robert Kakeeto started as his Aalborg side drew 0-0 at home against FC Nordsjaeland in the  Danish Premier League Championship .

In Estonia, Edrisa Lubega grabbed an assist as his side Paide lost 3-1 to Flora FC in Mestriliiga.

In Sweden, Isak Ssewankambo played full time as his Ostersunds claimed a 1-0 victory over Falkenbergs in Allsvensken league.

Mukisa Kenneth featured for 90 minutes as his side Team TG FF drew 2-2 with Karlstad in Sweden Division 1.

Ritah Kivumbi netted for her Mallbacken W IF in their 1-1 draw against Moron W in the Swedish Elitettan women league.

Forward Alexis Bbakka wasn’t in the match day squad as his Umea FC side lost 1-0 at Halmstads BK in the Superettan league.

In England, Jordan Obita was unused substitute as his Reading edged Charlton 1-0 in championship

Herbert Bockhorn never made the Matchday squad as his side, Hundersfield Town lost 2-0 to Luton Town

In Vietnam, Joseph Mpande featured for 90 minutes as his side Hai Phong fc lost 4-0 to The Cong.

Baba Kizito was unused substitute as his Than Quang Ninh Fc lost 3-0 to Ho Chi Minh
