Uganda’s representatives at the ongoing CAF Women Champions League Zonal(CECAFA) Qualifiers, She Corporate FC are set to face Simba Queens of Tanzania in final.
She Corporate confirmed their final status after edging Commercial Bank of Ethiopia FC 2-1 in the first semi-final of the day at the Azam Complex Stadium.
The Sharks scored a goal in each half the first coming in from Anitah Namata with just 19 minutes on the clock hence ending the first half with a 1-0 win.
In the second half, CBE came out strong through Loza Abera who equalled the scoreline only for fellow in-form midfielder Phionah Nabbumba to double She Corporate’s lead through a wonderful free kick to make it 2-1.

On the other side, Simba Queens run riot on AS Kigali WFC, putting five past the Rwandanse side with a brace from Corazone Aquino scoring in each half, in the 14th minute and 47th minute.
Dania William Mnally in 85th minute, Oppa Clement at the half hour mark and Aisha Juma Mnunka nine minutes later. AS Kigali’s only goal was scored by Dorothee Mukeshimana.

This means She Corporate will face hosts Simba Queens in the Final game of the CAF Women Champions League Zonal Qualifiers.
The two teams are going to meet for the second time in the same tournament after Simba Queens winning the first encounter 2-0.
In the third place playoff, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia will play AS Kigali on Saturday 27th August 2022 at the Azam Complex.
The winner of the tournament will represent the CECAFA region at the 2022/23 CAF Women’s Champions League with Vihiga Queens representing the region at last year’s edition.
