CAF African School’s Championship: Royal Giants learn group stages opponents

CECAFA Zonal African Boys School Champions Royal Giants High School have been drawn into group B ahead of the upcoming CAF African School Football Championship in Durban.

The Ugandan side will face off with Salima Second School ( Malawi), Ceg Sainte Rita ( Benin) and C.S Ben Sekou Sylla ( Guinea) for a place in the knockout stage.

Royal Giants secured their slot at the championship after having emerged champions in CECAFA Zone by beating Ethiopia’s Geda Royal S.S 4-2 via spotkicks in the final held at the Azam Complex in Tanzania.

The championship will be played at the King Zwelithini and Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Durban between 5th-8th April

The CAF African Schools programme is a development project that focuses on organised school’s football through the African Schools Football Championship, to further increase the social impact of football on the continent.
