Midfielder Yusuf Ssozi has completed his move to Seven-time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC.
He was unveiled by the club on Monday morning after putting pen to paper on a two-year employment contract until the end of the 2023/24 season.
Ssozi joins the Red Eagles after having spent three years at Police FC, who were relegated to the StarTimes FUFA Big League at the end of last season
“I am very happy to be joining one of the countries greatest teams, with very many talented players and rich history, I am motivated by it’s great history and am ready to give my best.” Ssozi told Express media after being unveiled.
Last season, he scored four goals and made three assists for Police FC.
Ssozi has also previously featured for Paidha Black Angels, Nairobi City Stars, AFC Leopards and Kalulushi Modern Stars.
The talented midfielder becomes Express’ eighth signing this window after Benjamin Gakumba, David Lukwago, Hassan Mubiru, Marvin Oshaba, Kada Bitakazibwa, Andrew Kaggwa and Anwar Mustafa Ntege.
The Wakulukuku based side has also lost a couple of senior players this window that includes Murushid Juuko, John Byamukama, Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Godfrey Lwesibawa, Sadiq Ssekyembe, Deus Bukenya and Eric Kambale.
