Uganda cranes Head Coach Jonathan McKinstry has today named a 20-man foreign-based squad to start preparing for the upcoming double-header game against South Sudan in the 2021 AFCON Qualifiers with the first leg to be played on 28 February 2020 at the Mandela National Stadium.
Among the summoned squad are the new faces in Elvis Okello Bwomono, Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru, and Jayden Onen, but do you know these players?
Elvis Okello Bwomono
Elvis Okello Bwomono (born 29 November 1998) is a Ugandan footballer who plays as a full-back for League One club Southend United
Bwomono was born in Uganda and lived here until the age of three before moving to London where he attended Hatch End High School.
He started his career as a youth player at Queens Park Rangers, and he later joined Southend United as a 14-year old.
He made his debut for Southend in a 2–1 defeat to Gillingham in the 2017–18 EFL Trophy Southern Section Group B fixture on 29 August 2017. In October 2017, he signed his first professional contract with the club.
The right-back had also been on trial with Millwall before arriving at Blues.

Uche Ikpeazu Mubiru
Karl Anthony Uchechukwu Mubiru Ikpeazu born 28 February 1995 is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian
Born in Harrow, London of a Nigerian/Ugandan parentage Ikpeazu joined Reading’s academy in late 2010.
He signed his first professional contract in 2014 at Watford but he didn’t get any playing time before being loaned to Crewe Alexandra on loan until the end of the season
Ikpeazu signed a pre-contract agreement with the Scottish Premiership club Heart of Midlothian in April 2018, with a two-year contract which took effect from 1 July 2018.

Jayden Onen
Jayden Onen born 17 February 2002 is a midfielder who plays for the English Championship side Brentford B.
The former Arsenal and Brighton youngster joined Brentford B on an 18-month contract as a free agent on 17th December 2018 with an optional extension of 12 months, which would take him to the summer of 2021
