Eastern Champions Walukuba Babarians earn promotion to the 2023 Nile Special Rugby League Campaign.

This comes after the Championship finals winner  Boks who beat Walukuba in the Championship finals at the Makerere Grounds asked to bow out of the  competition in a document written to the Uganda Rugby Union.

In the document Boks Rugby Club cited the inability to comply with the requirements to participate in the 2023 Nile Special Rugby League  as put out by the Chairman of the Uganda Rugby Union Technical Committee Engineer Oscar Olara.

Before Boks Rugby Club emerged as winners of the Play Off finals, they had conquered the Northern Champions Lira in the Semi’s just like Walukuba did against Western Champions Mbarara Titans.

But above all due Walukuba Babarians Rugby Club who were second in line after being the other finalist are the immediate replacement of Boks in the top flight league.
