Uganda will host this year’s Victoria Cup as they face Zimbabwe at the Legends Kampala Rugby Club on Saturday.
The game will be played by the 15’s team from both side at 4pm East African Time. This game will also act as a international test match for both teams.

The Cup was put up after the Elgon cup was called off after the Kenyan Simbas pulled out of the annual Cup tournament citing tough times in their country.The Rugby cranes team that just came back from the 2022 Africa Cup in France where they managed to finish fifth, failing to get into the World Cup that will be played in Australia.
On the other side, Zimbabwe Sables finished fourth at the same tournament.

Talking to the press on Wednesday, Uganda Rugby 15’s coach Mudoola came out to express the team’s awareness of the task ahead;
For us it’s international test season and this runs three to four months. The camp is aware of the task since Zimbabwe finished fourth and they are ranked 32nd.
Team captain Ivan Magomu also had a say as he showed his excitement towards Saturday adding that;
We had a good experience in France compared to the preps we had here and we improved in the ranking despite the hurdles. We are excited about Saturday it’s been a long time, last time we had a game, the fans were not allowed so this will be a good experience.
Currently the Rugby Cranes also has a few of their names in taken in their other 7’s team that is representing the country at the 2022 Commonwealth games in Birmingham, England.
