» HSBC World Rugby Challenger Series: Uganda off to quarter-finals
The Uganda Rugby Union, URU, is set to benefit from the relief fund that is set to be advanced to all member Unions of Africa’s rugby governing body, Rugby Afrique. These are meant to help them the member unions cope with the adverse effects of the Coronavirus crisis.
From the Shs.714,805,232/= that was announced by Rugby Afrique as cover for food and medical relief to all its member unions, The URU is set to receive Shs.21,042,800/=
The Union intends to use some of the funds to donate more food to all its key stakeholders – the clubs.
On its official Twitter handle @Uganda_Rugby, URU confirmed the development and conveyed a message of gratitude to the African governing Union via their official twitter handle.
Uganda Rugby Union plans to use these funds to provide more food relief to our key stakeholders; the Clubs.
Rugby Africa has today confirmed that URU will receive €5000 and we are grateful. We shall update the Clubs once we receive the funds. pic.twitter.com/wR3g727Sn2
