Uganda Rugby Lady Cranes squad announced ahead of the Elgon Cup showdown

The Uganda Rugby Union has revealed a 23 Player squad for the upcoming Elgon Cup match scheduled for November 11, 2023.

The highly-anticipated game will take place at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium Mamboleo, Kisumu – Kenya.

The Elgon Cup is an annual rugby competition featuring Uganda and Kenya’s national teams. Getting its name from Mountain Elgon which is shared by the two East African nations.

Notably, the women’s rugby matches precede the men’s games as a curtain raiser but this year in the final Match of the Tri nation Victoria Cup hosted in Kampala was used as the first leg of the Elgon Cup.

Uganda won the game by a single point on 21 – 20 through a last minute Liam Walker Penalty at King’s Park Arena in Bweyogerere.
