The Uganda national DanceSport team (Dance Cranes) has been officially flagged off for the African Breaking Championship by NCS officials at the Uganda DanceSport Federation offices in Mengo.
This is going to be their first ever Africa Breaking Championship and it will be hosted by North African side Morocco, Rabat.
The competition will take place starting on the 12th to 13th of May. This Championship will help the team in the qualification of the Paris 2024 Olympic games.
A team led by the General Secretary of the Uganda DanceSport Federation Mr Barnabas Ssebuyungo will set off through Kenya tonight and Paris to get to Rabat.
The team will have head coach Edrine Serwakulya and five players including one professional in Fahadhi Kiryowa commonly known as Bboy Fahadhi who lives and dances in Italy.
Other five dancers on the team are Ronald Ndawula (Bboy Ndawula), Samuel Ziraye (Bboy Saman), Steven Opio (Bboy Pencil), Faruk Luleti (Bboy Skoolboy Faruk) and Frank Kimuli (Bboy Jogo).
Away from the team, Mark Kaweesi is the other Ugandan that will be present at the WDSF African Breaking Championship as one of international breaking judges appointed by the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) to adjudicate at this continental championship.
