After the departure of four players including Anita Namata and Esther Naluyimba who left to join reigning league Champions She Corporate Football Club, two more players in Elizabeth “Liz” Nakigozi and Winnie Nakanwagi have officially left the Lubaga based side Uganda Martyrs High School.
Nakigozi and Nakanwagi have officially been unveiled by FUFA Women Super League giants Kampala Queens and New league entrants Makerere University Ladies Football Club alias She Makerere respectively.
Nakigozi who is now the club’s sixth signing joins the Queens Palace on a two year contract after emerging as one of the best performers last season, scoring seven league games for the Lubaga side.

The left footed winger before joining UMHS has previously played for Muteesa I Royal University and Lady Doves in the season 2020/21.
On the other side, Left back Nakanwagi who has been at the club for the past six years decided to leave after she had fallen out of the pecking order with Esther Namusoke championing the position.
Winnie scored one goal for Uganda Martyrs High School Women Football Club last season.
Despite a number of clubs wanting her signature, She Makerere head coach Fred went in hard to convince her to sign for the Club with promise of regular game time next season as part of the agreement in the contract.
She Makerere lost their four players in Aisha Namagembe, Fatumah Nakasumba and Madinah Nakaayi to South Sudanese side Kator FC, goal Keeper Zahara Nankya who is on loan with reigning Champions will look to add more names to their squad.
Just like Elizabeth Nakigozi is the sixth player to join Kampala Queens, Winnie Nakanwagi is also the sixth player to leave Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga Women Football Club in this window.
She Makerere will open the season with defending champions She Corporate this Saturday at home in Makerere while Kampala Queens will also play new entrants Asubo Gafford Ladies in Kabojja.
