After just six months at Kenyan side Gor Mahia, Ugandan young sensation Rogers Mugisha looks set to be announced as an AC Horsens player following a successful trial stint with the Danish second tier side.
Mugisha has played for Uganda from the U17 level, U20 and most recently to the Uganda Cranes making his debut in a friendly against Mali, he also made the final squad for Uganda’s AFCON qualifier game against Tanzania but is yet to earn a competitive cap for the cranes.
He hit a career high in the recently concluded CAF U20 Africa Cup of nations in Egypt where he was named on the team of the tournament.
Despite Uganda’s hippos facing and early exit at the hands of Nigeria in the quarter Finals and was named man of the match in against Central African Republic in the group stages.
This grabbed attention from many keen eyes including former Uganda Cranes coach Janathan Mckinstry who signed him at Gor Mahia.
Mugisha developed through the ranks at KJT (Kampala Junior Team), played for Mbarara City in the FUFA U17 junior league and got his maiden chance at top flight football with UPDF FC in the Uganda Premier League before he left for Gor Mahia in Kenya.
