Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin Sredojevic has named two foreign-based players in his 21-man squad for the upcoming friendlies in United Arab Emirates.
The two players are Isma Watenga and Moses Waiswa who both ply their trade in South Africa.
The team that was announced on Wednesday morning consists of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, four midfielders and six forward.
It will depart Uganda for Abu Dhabi on 29th December and will play two AFCON bound teams, Gabon and Mauritania.
The game against Gabon will be played on 30th December, 2021 while that one against Mauritania shall take place on 1st January 2022, with both games played in Abu Dhabi.
We are assembling the Uganda Cranes team that will competitively get engaged in several upcoming engagements like the TOTAL AFCON 2023 and TOTAL CHAN 2022 qualifiers. Such international build up matches are a perfect measure for early preparations.” Micho said
