A decisive round of the CU Men’s 50 Overs League saw Tornado Bees CC crowned Gold Category champions after a commanding victory over JACC, securing their fifth trophy since joining Division Two.

Kutchi Tigers CC also ended their campaign on a high with a win over Mukono Warriors CC, while SKLPS CC defeated Avengers CC in a result that had no effect on the promotion race, with Avengers having already sealed a place in Division One.

In the Silver Category, Ismaili Community CC were confirmed as Division Two champions and earned promotion to Division One for the first time in the club’s history.

Tornado Bees CC produced a title-clinching performance, defeating JACC by 78 runs to officially secure the Gold Category crown with games to spare.

Batting first, Tornado Bees posted an imposing 296, led by Roger Galiwango Mukasa’s 83 off 64 balls and a blistering 66 from Anas Baig. Jonathan Ssebanja added 43 as the champions maintained pressure throughout the innings.

For JACC, Aloysius Odoi and Ivan Baidhu claimed three wickets apiece, while Sadam Oyaga and Kenneth Waiswa chipped in with one each.

In reply, Kenneth Waiswa top-scored with 63, Jonathan Nyiiro contributed 45, and Aloysius Odoi remained unbeaten on 47. However, the chase never gathered enough momentum as Tornado Bees’ bowlers kept control to restrict JACC to 218/5.

Mukono Warriors CC vs Kutchi Tigers CC – Entebbe Cricket Ground

Kutchi Tigers CC closed out their campaign with a comfortable five-wicket victory over Mukono Warriors CC.

Mukono Warriors were bowled out for 167, with Harish Anandhan making 39 while Ronald Lutaaya and Musa Majid Ramathan added useful contributions. Regular wickets, however, prevented them from building substantial partnerships.

Dhansh Jesani and Vekariya Kush Mahesh starred with the ball, taking four wickets each to dismantle the Warriors’ batting lineup.

In response, Cyrus Kakuru anchored the chase with a composed unbeaten 77, while Mitul Pindoriya remained unbeaten on 33 as Kutchi Tigers reached the target with more than 13 overs to spare.

Avengers CC vs SKLPS CC – Serenity Group Cricket Ground

SKLPS CC signed off with a four-wicket victory over Avengers CC, though the outcome had no impact on promotion, with Avengers having already secured their Division One berth.

Avengers were dismissed for 163, built around half-centuries from Atul Rana (52) and Rohan Singh (49). Gajpariya Rinkesh Ramesh delivered a match-winning bowling performance, claiming six wickets, while Dinesh Manji Vekariya picked up three.

SKLPS chased down the target in just 26.3 overs thanks to an unbeaten 85 from Vishal Bandheri, who guided the innings with authority. Chetan Halai added 26 as SKLPS completed the chase comfortably despite losing a few early wickets.

Meanwhile, Ismaili Community CC celebrated a historic milestone by claiming the Silver Category title and earning promotion to Division One for the first time.
