Thomas Muller: Striker extends contract with Bayern Munich


German International striker, Thomas Muller has agreed on a 2-year contract extension with Bayern Munich, that will see him spend more time in Bavaria till June 2023.

The Club announced today, Tuesday 7th April 2020, putting rumors of the striker’s departure to bed.

After putting pen to paper, a smiling Muller said;

When football returns, we [Muller and Bayern] will continue to have success together.

For me, renewing my contract with Bayern was my priority and I am happy to be here for another two seasons giving my all for the club.

He added.

Thomas Muller was promoted to Bayern Munich’s senior team in 2008 and has so far played over 500 games, scoring 195 goals in all competitions.

Bayern leads the Bundesliga standings with 55 points from the 25 games played so far with Thomas Muller the League’s player with the most assists, level with Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho at 15.

Bayern Munich has been trying to renew contracts for some of their star players with David Alaba, Thiago Alcantara, and Manuel Neuer in need of new deals.
