A great honor for two former Bayern pros: Oliver Kahn and Jürgen Klinsmann were inducted into the Hall of Fame at the German football museum in Dortmund. Together with Helmut Schön, Dixie Dörner, and Wolfgang Overath, the duo join the first eleven selected when the Hall of Fame was opened last April.

That includes six former FC Bayern players in Sepp Maier, Franz Beckenbauer, Paul Breitner, Andreas Brehme, Lothar Matthäus, and Gerd Müller. Inductees to the Hall of Fame are chosen in a vote by leading sports journalists.

The FC Bayern board member-elect, Oliver Kahn, played for the German record champions from 1994 to 2008 and in 2001 he won the Champions League with the Reds. Klinsmann wore the FCB shirt from 1995 to 1997 and he also coached FC Bayern in 2008/09.

Oliver Kahn is also a member of the FC Bayern Hall of Fame that can be found in the FC Bayern Erlebniswelt.
