Sumaiyah Nalumu: Midfielder leaves Uganda Martyrs, joins Kampala Queens

Midfielder Sumaiyah Nalumu joined Kampala Queens from Uganda Martyrs Lubaga WFC on a 3-year employment contract .

After a number of departures that included Patricia Akiror, Hasifah Nassuna, Zaina Namuleme, Dorcus Nabuufu, Sophia Nakiyingi, Prima Mugide, Florence Imanizabayo, Lukiya Namubiru, Damali Matama, Judith Sanyu, and Lilian Mutuuzo, the Queens were left with only one option but to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

However Nalumu becomes the second Uganda Martyrs player to join the Palace this summer after forward Shamusa Najjuma.

Nalumu is set to add more creativity to pack after the departure of Nassuna inorder to cut the load of Shamirah Nalugya who has been away through injury.

Left back Miriam Nakayiwa, defenders Sumaya Namulondo, Shakirah Nankwanga plus forwards Peace Muduwa and Shamusa Najjuma.

Kampala Queens will start their Finance Trust Women Super League journey on Friday, 27th September 2024 at home (MTN-Omondi Stadium) against Wakiso Hill WFC.
