Wakiso Giants rallied from two goals down to draw two-all with Kyetume FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League game played at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium, Wakiso on Tuesday evening.
Both, the Slaughterers and the purple sharks netted their two goals in the first half to ensure the game ended with points shared.
Wakiso Giants made four changes to the team that drew with Police on Friday, while Kyetume FC made three changes from that team that drew 1-1 with Kitara FC the last weekend.
The visitors took an early lead when Saaka Sharif pounced on a loose ball in the 12th minute to break the deadlock after Samson Kirya parried Mustafa Mujjuzi’s freekick into his path.
Four minutes later, Saaka Sharif netted his second of the game to double the Slaughterers’ lead and take his tally of the season to 3 goals in the opening two games.
In the 31st, Wakiso giants pulled a goal back through their new signing Ibrahim Owen Kasule ‘Baba’ before Yasin Mugume leveled matters for the Purple Sharks from close range.
In the second half, Douglas Bamweyana made a triple change in a bid to find a late winner when he bought on Gadaffi Wahabu, Derrick Emukule, and Rahmat Ssenfuka, but the Slaughterers were so composed at the back to deny any opportunities.
Both Wakiso giants and Kyetume now get to two points garnered in two games, having drawn their first games to Police and Kitara respectively.
