Abdullah Salim came off the bench to salvage his side, SC Villa a 1-0 win over Kyetume FC in a StarTimes UPL game played at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru on Tuesday evening
In a dull first half of the game, Kyetume were gifted a glorious chance to break the deadlock through a penalty just before the break but Meddie Kibirige saved Cephas Kambugu effort after Amir Kakomo handled the ball in the forbidden area.

SC Villa head coach, Edward Kaziba then introduced on Abdullah Salim and Shafik Ssenoga for Nicholas Kabonge and Goffin when the team needed some fresh legs in attack.
And a few minutes afterwards, Salim received a ball from Derrick Ndahiro, cut inside and then curried the ball past Joel Mutakubwa and into the back of net to propel the Joggos into the lead in the 69th minute.
Fifteen minutes before the death of the game, SC Villa captain Asuman Alishe was sent off after a foul on Latif Kiyembe outside the box. Alishe had earlier been booked after an exchange with Robert Ssentongo.
Against 10 men, Kyetume tried their level best to find an equaliser but the Villa backline was rock tight to deny any late upset.
