Kampala Queens FC made history on Sunday, June 21, 2026, by defeating Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC 2-0 to win their maiden FUFA Women’s Cup title at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
Playing in their first-ever cup final, Kampala Queens delivered a composed performance against the newly crowned FUFA Women Super League champions, who were aiming to complete a domestic double.
The breakthrough came in the first half when Joanita Ainembabazi found the back of the net to hand Kampala Queens a deserved lead. The goal capped a bright opening period in which the Queens looked the more organized and threatening side.
